Summer/Fall 2011 Update

As we wrap up July and head into an early fall (already?) we are putting the finishing touches on may of our 2011 projects. As you may know from either visiting the Resort, or the newsletter, we have put in the property parking gates and swapped the entrance and exit. We have not quite fully implemented the gate system yet, however, because the City has been doing some sidewalk and drainage work in front of The Charter Club of Marco Beach. We expect that the gates will be fully operational by the second or third week of August. BE AWARE as you travel to the Resort that the first dirveway is now the ENTRANCE. When you turn in, you will continue around to your right and approach the registration building. Be mindful of the signs and the arrows painted on the parking lot surface as they are your guides to traffic flow. It will take some getting used to, but it won't be long before everyone has the process down.

The new, energy efficient washers, dryers, and dishwashers have been installed in the North Building and will be installed in the South Building during fall maintenance weeks. The new appliances, along with the new, energy efficient water heaters and air conditioners should really create a good savings for the Resort. We are also adding new, LED Light Poles at the Entrance and Exit to the Resort. These are brighter, more efficient, longer lasting and should make the driveways much safer at night.

Work is also underway on a new gazebo on the West lawn, across from the tennis pavilion. This will ultimately be one of two designated smoking areas on the property. (The other area will be South and West of the grill area by the pool.) These will be the only two areas designated as "Smoking Areas" on the resort grounds. All other areas will become non-smoking.

Also in September we will begin work on a model unit for the Master Bathroom/Closet renovation. Once the model is done, we'll put out a post card and/or newsletter article showing photos and lisitng the changes. You'll also be able to check back on this website for the photos and details.

It's hard to say exactly when the best season is here at The Charter Club of Marco Beach, there is always so much going on. Things just get better all the time.
